About This Spot
Lei’s Küche is one of those neighborhood gems that make you want to slow down a little when you step inside. Nestled along Seestraße, its modest facade gives way to a warmly lit space where the energy is gentle but lively, especially as the evening unfolds. Whether you're settling in for a quiet solo meal or meeting friends under the soft hum of conversation, the pace here feels unhurried - inviting you to savor moments as much as the food.
The atmosphere carries a calm authenticity, with bursts of warmth from a small but attentive team whose friendly, sometimes slightly flurried service adds a human touch rather than polish. In warmer months, the garden-like outdoor seating spills onto the pavement, offering a slice of urban tranquility where you can catch the relaxed rhythm of Wedding’s streets.
At Lei’s Küche, the food lives quietly at the heart of the experience. The flavors lean into genuine home-style Chinese cooking - layered, comforting, and thoughtfully prepared without fuss. Think tender, aromatic beef dishes, soft eggplants that melt on the tongue, and dumplings that feel like little pockets of tradition. Bright notes from fresh salads or the occasional hint of spicy tang ground the meal with balance, while shared plates encourage a leisurely exploration of texture and spice.
This is the sort of place where the menu seems made for returning, to uncover new favorites or rediscover trusted ones - perhaps with a cold beer or a bowl of comforting soup beside you. It never feels overly polished or contrived, which is also part of its charm: an honest, approachable restaurant where the food and moments between bites feel genuinely connected to the neighborhood it serves.

Amazing dishes. I ordered - fried rib (chili garlic) - smoked tofu & cucumber salad - braised? beef - fried banana with ice cream Better to visit in the winter than summer. The less crowded, the less stress
One of my favourites for dinner in Wedding. Authentic Chinese food, great variety of dishes. In summer, it is very popular and they have outdoor sitting. I always go without reservation, but sometimes I had to wait 10/15 mins. A dish + beer = under 20€
I have really mixed feelings about this place. The food was tasty enough - nothing special, but decent for a neighborhood Chinese restaurant. Prices are fair, and on a nice day it’s actually pleasant to sit outside and enjoy the street vibes. The service, however, felt very disorganized. The young waiter serving us seemed like he might be new, and I don’t think he had bad intentions at all, but the whole team looked completely overwhelmed even though the restaurant was almost empty. Orders were mixed up, some dishes never arrived until we reminded them, mains came at different times, and overall everything felt a bit chaotic. It seemed like there was little guidance from the manager, even though it was clear things weren’t running smoothly. Despite that, I wouldn’t call it a bad place - just one with room for improvement. As a local spot to grab a quick Chinese meal, it’s okay, but nothing particularly memorable.
One of my favourite Chinese restaurants in Berlin for now 4 years! The quality of the food never changed They get quickly overcrowded during evening lunch hours but you can come in between. Eggplants are so soft and delicious, pork also very soft and tender with super flavourful vegetables and the 5 spices beef is very traditional! Having spent most of my childhood in china and it always takes me back there The price is also very fair 39€ in total including rice and drinks
That’s some food. Really flavourful, not overly sweet as most Asian joints in Europe tend to be, spicy, and feels very authentic. Great cashew kung pao, mouth-watering duck, and lovely dumplings. I am looking forward to trying more menu options next time I’m in Berlin. The pavement-setting garden outdoors sitting area is a city dream in the summer, and I would recommend it to every urban vibe lover.
Great for groups. All the dishes we ordered were very good and were served fast and with a generous amount of rice. The atmosphere is more functional but it somehow fits. Loved coming here and will definitely come again!
The food was incredibly good. I was extremely surprised. I had a braised beef dished with vegetables and the spicy sour soup and my girlfriend had another beef dish with green peppers. I don’t even remember exactly what the dishes were called on the menu but it was all 10/10. On top of that the service was fast and they were really friendly.
